My favorite book is 'The Host' by Stephanie Meyer. I also enjoy the Inheritance Cycle- 'Eragon', 'Eldest', 'Brisingr', and 'Inheritance'- by Christopher Paolini- and 'Forever...' by Judy Blume. 'Get Well Soon' and 'Cut' are also great (though I don't remember the authors,) and I reccomend anything at all by Laurie Halse Anderson, especially 'Speak' or 'Wintergirls'.
