For some people, it is excruciatingly annoying when people post things saying ''Add me''. From my perspective, they just sound despirate and uninteresting. If people want to add you, they will because you're a good artist or your profile seems interesting. If someone adds you because you came off as desperate then that (in my view) is rather sad.

 Feel free to disagree.

 I like a good arguement.

I agree (though I did try that once, just to see if people would actually respond), but Ill disagree to have a little fun.

Posting "add me" bullitons on the board make it possible for other friend-desperate people to add eachother, and in some cases, can help people with the same interests meet up (by accident or purposefully). And it can help them be known, if they are weak in art and can't make friends. (Okay, it's a weak argument, but since my true opinion is different, it's all I can come up with).
