“Okay Class, first thing first! Take out your note book and start copying words.” Miss. Jones, or language arts teacher said to us.
I didn’t really feel like copying words so I started drawing in my notebook instead. I was drawing a girl who has her headphones on and you could see the music notes coming out of the music player. I got out my colored pencils and then Miss. Jones said to pass in our papers.
“Dang it.” I thought. Another incomplete assignment.
“How was school?” asked my mom.
“Well… good I guess.” I said
“That’s good!” she said looking as happy as ever.
“Could you drop me off at the park mom?”
“Marisol, I know you’re 13 but I still don’t like you going alone. You know that.”
I sighed. Didn’t she know I was mature enough to sit on a bench for a little while?
I didn’t reply and just walked up the wooden stairs to my bedroom.
My room was blue with a shaggy lime green rug across the floor. My dad said we could get a new one after my mom had my sister.
Well honestly, I wasn’t too excited to know that I was going to have a little sister. Being a only child was fun, turning up the music as loud as you want, you could run around the house and really do anything but not with a baby sister.
Dinner was tacos again so I told my mom I wasn’t hungry.
I went up to my room and sat at my desk and started a drawing of my friend Alice. I glanced over at the picture of us together at the beach and smiled.
I needed to write a story for lanuage arts and this is the beginning of it... please leave a comment of what you thnk!
