Shana

She is a Flame Haze, “Flame-Haired Burning-Eyed Hunter.” Her real name is not known. She gives her name as Flame Haze of “nietono no shana” She made a contract with Alastor who is “Tenjyo no Gouka”, a Crimson Demon. Her flame color is crimson. After entering our world, she is known as Yukari Hirai. She is extremely athletic, and also has the “Power of Unrestraint” which causes various events by controlling the “Power of Existence”. She hardly ever handles powers other than fire explosions because of her immaturity as a Flame Haze. Perhaps because of her strange up-bringing, she has no knowledge of society and common sense. She has great presence, a clear mind, austerity and fortitude, and a super sweet tooth. Melon pan (bread) is her favorite.



Yuji Sakai
Yuji Sakai's world changes dratiscally from normal to well the not so normal when one day on his way home the world suddenly freezes in time, leaving Yuji to watch in horror as blue flames engulf the people around him. Soon a monster resembling a large doll appears and begins sucking the flames into its mouth, until it notices Yuji. Surprised with Yuji's insusceptibility to the time-stop, it jumps with glee.Just as the monster prepares to consume Yuji, a sword-wielding girl in black attire with flaming red eyes and hair that burns like embers appears, swiftly and confidently destroys the monster, before noticing Yuji moving freely. The girl calls herself a "Flame Haze" who hunts the "Denizens of the Crimson Realm" and the "Rinne" they send to do their bidding. When Yuji notices a blue flame in his chest, the Flame Haze tells him that the "real" Yuji died some time ago, and that he is a "Torch", a temporary replacement for erased humans. Torches take on the forms of those erased persons, but after a period of time, they will vanish from existence and the memories of the living.

Kazumi Yoshida

A classmate of Yuuji’s, He's a large, sportsman type character who spreads good cheer around. During his junior high school years, he had a wild life with Sato. Hayato Ike

Keisaku Sato

He is Yuuji’s classmate. His family is one of the richest and oldest in Misaki city. He is a handsome boy who was pretty wild in junior high school. Margery Daw picks him to be her guide to Misaki city and he joins in the battle with “Guze no Tomogara”(the Inhabitants of the Crimson World.) He admires Margery very much.Manga Info: A rich boy, Eita's friend and a Margery's supporter. He and Eita support Margery in battle with Denizens by guiding her in Masaki City.

Margery is a tall, "well-endowed" and mature blond Flame Haze with a drinking habit. She uses the book Grimoire, which is the divine vessel through which Marchosias, to whom she is bound, expresses his will. Her main powers focus around chanting spells and turning into a werewolf. She casts spells by chanting an "Improvisational Poem of Slaughter."

Manga Info: He was known as "Flame Haze Murderer". Friagne is clever and powerful Tomogara. His partner is a girl doll named Marianne. He comes to Misaki City to create "City Devourer" and gains huge Power of Existence to make Marianne a fully independent being.

Manga Info: The only servant of Friagne. Her form is a girl doll.

Alastor (Flame of Heavens)
Manga Info: The Lord of the Crimson Realm who bound with Shana. He expresses his will through a divine vessel called the Cocytus, which takes the form of a pendant. Alastor is the one of the strongest of all Lords or Denizens. In the manga series, He tries to stop the unbalance of the two worlds because of Crimson Denizens's selfish. Shana is the second Flame Haze that Alastor bound with. His previous Flame Haze who Alastor made a contract was Mathilde.

Pheles
Pheles is a lord who once loved and still loves a human, Johan. In order to be able to be with him forever, together they created the most precious treasure in Guze, a Treasure that can grant eternity to the Mystes bearing it: the Reiji Maigo. Due to the Reiji Maigo, she doesn't have to consume other humans' power of existence; she can get enough to survive from Johan without him being in danger of disappearing. Due to a fight against the Bal Masque's assassin Sabrac that severely wounded Johan, she sealed her lover into the Reiji Maigo. She was unaware that Sabrac had also placed the Silver into the Hougu simultaneously. The Reiji Maigo was then lost, so now she searches for him everywhere　with an Unrestricted Method “The Wheel of Wind” (Kaze no Tenrin), a guiding beacon that becomes a duplicate of her own when the target is found. In the light novels, Johan commandeers Yuji's body to persuade her from sacrificing the current Mystes to bring him back and Pheles agrees to her lover's wish before leaving for parts unknown.

She is friends with Wilhelmina who once she had saved from the trap set by the Denizen Lord Sabrac. She does not appear in the first season of the anime but appears in the second season around the end of episode twelve amid her search for the Reiji Maigo

Wilhelmina Carmel
A young lady that wears a maid's uniform all the time. She is bound to Tiamat, whose will resides in the divine vessel Persona, which shifts forms between a headband, and a mask when in battle.
She is one of the great Flame Haze from the age of the great war, fighting alongside her friend, Mathilde Saint-Omer (the previous "Slayer with Flaming Hair and Blazing Eyes").
Her ability is the power to control an infinite number of ribbons which appear from around her. Wilhelmina, who always speaks in an overly formal and polite manner, has nearly no expression.
Wilhelmina hates Yuji as an overprotective mother might hate her daughter's boyfriend. She has, in the anime, advocated killing him so as to keep the Reiji Maigo out of the hands of the Bal Masqué.

Hecate
One of the Trinity of the Bal Masqué, entitled as "the Priestess". She also controls the movements of Seireiden, Bal Masqué's base. A small pale girl with white cape and hat, she doesn't speak much. Sydonay seems to care for her a lot. Her position is very important with respect to what the Bal Masqué plans to do with Reiji Maigo.

Hecate is a sad, quiet character, who has taken up the habit of prayer. Her prayers center around her desire to fill up her emptiness. Her nigh-infinite capacity for storing power of existence comes with the price of her apparently having a low sense of self; in a sense, Hecate is a perfect void.

Matake Ogata
Yuji's classmate. Matake is a strong-willed physically active girl, as well as a bit of a tomboy. She also has feelings for Eita, and worries about his well-being.

Prima

As part of the Vocaloid2 releases, Zero-G announced VOCALOID SOPRANO, whose name was changed to VOCALOID PRIMA, on January 21, 2008, at the NAMM show of the same year. Her official release date is January 14, 2008. Prima is a virtual female vocalist based on the voice of a professional soprano singer. [6] Though she was created to target opera, Prima's versatile voice allows her to be used for various other styles, such as pop, though her operatic flare will still be evident. Despite being English and being seldomly used in comparison to the likes of Miku, Prima is also somewhat popular with the Japanese Vocaloid scene, and has been given a uniform illustration agreed upon by fan consensus. In English-speaking fandom, a more "yandere" model of Prima is popular, stemming from jokes made by those who tried to obtain Prima through underground means and run her along with the other Vocaloids; Those who acquire Prima that way had no idea of the activation requirements of VOCALOID, causing the program to "kill herself and take the other Vocaloids with her".[citation needed]

Sonika

Sonika (ソニカ　Sonika) is the 5th Vocaloid created by Zero-G. Released on 14th July 2009, she is the first English speaking Vocaloid to use the updated Vocaloid2 software. She has been specifically tailored to mimic the Japanese vocaloids in both appearence and sound, and is the first English speaking vocaloid to use an actual character illustration as part of the product. Though marketed to an English speaking audience, Sonika can potentially speak any language due to the fact that her vocal bank is not limited to syllables and phonetics, so she is able to produce any consonant and vowel combinaton imaginable.[7]

Big-Al

Though an announcement was made about him on January 21, 2007, no official release date can be found. His voice is modelled after a Swedish rock vocalist. The first song demo using Big-Al, "Make Me Feel", was prepared by Alexei Ustinov for the Frankfurter Musikmesse 2007 fair. Big-Al's timbre is comparably lower, rougher, and more "manly" than Leon's. More demo examples (I Feel Good, Alove, and PowerFX) were uploaded in early May. [8]

Sweet Ann


Sweet Ann is the first virtual singer based on Vocaloid2. Her release date was on June 29, 2007. Her voice is modeled after a female pop-singer.

Vocaloid

Kaito


KAITO is a Vocaloid DTM (Desktop Music) software created by Crypton Future Media. He utilizes the older Vocaloid engine, the predecessor for Vocaloid2, and his voice is completely computer synthesized thus is less smooth sounding. The voice was supplied by Naoto Fuga. Although rougher sounding, Kaito and Meiko are able to incorporate much broader voice range than Miku and Rin/Len. He is fit to sing anything from hymns and children's songs to R & B and pop, though the style that he is best used for is singing pop ballads.

As a mascot character, being the counterpart of Meiko, he is also the older brother figure for the entire Vocaloid group, frequently called "nii-san", although he's not often a very good older brother figure. This can lead to him often being called "Bakaito", a portmanteau of his name and the Japanese word "baka" (idiot). KAITO is often the brunt of abuse from the 'family', often getting rolled over by the twins' road-roller (roda-rolla). He wears a white coat and a blue muffler. His character item is ice cream, which he is very fond of. In particular, he loves the Häagen Dazs brand.

In terms of relationship, he's also noted to be in some songs and many fanon as Miku's lover; however, though less prominently, he has been also paired with Meiko, Rin or Haku as well. He also has been paired frequently with Kagamine Len or even with Gakupo in yaoi fandom.

Hatsune Miku


Miku Hatsune (初音ミク Hatsune Miku) is the first installment in the Vocaloid2 Character Vocal Series created by Crypton Future Media and the most popular and well-known Vocaloid, released on August 31, 2007. The name of the title and the character of the software was chosen by combining Hatsu (初, first), Ne (音, sound), and Miku (未来, future) thus meaning "the first sound to the future." The data for the voice was created by actually sampling the voice of Saki Fujita, a Japanese voice actress. Unlike general purpose speech synthesizers, the software is tuned to create J-pop songs commonly heard in anime, but it is possible to create songs from other genres.

Kagamine Rin/Len


Released on December 27, 2007, Rin & Len Kagamine (鏡音リン・レン, Kagamine Rin/Len) is the second installment of the Vocaloid Character Vocal Series, male voice (Len) and female voice (Rin). Their family name was chosen by combining Kagami (鏡, Mirror), Ne (音, Sound), with the first syllables of their given names, puns on "Left" and "Right". Despite popular depictions as fraternal twins, they are not actually brother and sister, but are reflections of a mirror.[1] According to Crypton's official blog, the package includes two voice banks: one for Rin and another for Len, both provided by the seiyū Asami Shimoda. Despite the double voice banks, the package still sells at the same price as Miku Hatsune.

On June 12, 2008, Crypton announced the updated edition, named "act2", would be released in early July 2008. Users who had bought the old version got an expansion disc free of charge. On June 18, 2008, beta demonstration songs using the new version were released on the company's official blog.

The act.2 version is an independent installation, and coexists with the initial software.

Megurine Luka


Released on January 30th, 2009, Megurine Luka (Japanese : 巡音ルカ Megurine Luka) is the third Vocaloid2 in Crypton's character series. Her surname combines Meguri (巡, circulate or around) and Ne (音, sound), while the name Luka invokes the homonymous Japanese words of "nagare" (流, flow) and "ka" (歌, song) or "ka" (香, scent); thus making "songs to all around the world as scent spreads." Yū Asakawa provided the "moody yet husky female voice" for the "cool, somewhat mysterious" character.

Unlike its previous two characters, Crypton advertised Luka's 3GB vocal database as "Japanese/English bilingual," and chose her name to express its hope that she will transcend borders and cultural barriers. Luka was designed by the Japanese illustrator Kei, who had previously created the designs for Hatsune Miku and Kagamine Rin and Len. However, unlike previous mascots in the series, her costume is not based on a school uniform.

Only a few days after her release, many songs were produced. On the 70th Weekly Vocaloid Ranking (February 2, 2009), many of Luka's songs appeared in the Top 30, knocking the very popular "Miku Miku ni Shite Ageru" and songs produced by ryo (with the exception of "Melt") right out of the Top 30. "RIP=RELEASE" had taken the #1 spot, and had earned a total of 843,233 points, making it the song with the highest one-week score.

kasane TETo or UTAUloids


UTAU
UTAU is a vocal synthesis software which has only been distributed for the usage on Windows Computers. It is a freeware vocal synthesizer program unlike VOCALOID and VOCALOID2, which are commercially-sold programs along with an accompanying voice bank. It began distribution in March of 2008.

The program has at least 50 different usable audio files, composed of Japanese syllables. It comes with the company's "AquesTalk" pre-loaded, which allows any user to load their own voice data to be programed for usage within UTAU. However, without the explicit permission of the voice donor, it is a violation of copyright laws. Those laws protect the rights of any vocalist who may not wish for there voices to be used within the program, such as celebrities. Any music made through this program can be used in the commercial sector.

The best-known voice bank for UTAU is Teto Kasane. She is recognized as the first UTAUloid, if not Defoko or Oto, the default voicebanks in UTAU.

The program can be downloaded here. However, it will not run properly on computers which do not support Japanese text or AppLocale.

akita neru


亞北 (Akita) - Play on words from "飽きた" or "get bored."

ネル (Neru) - Also play on words from "寝る" or "go to bed."

TYPE: 防火ロイド (防火loid, Boukaloid) - This is again a play on words. It literally means Fireproof-loid and has the same pronunciation as Vocaloid in Japanese.

In Oct.2007, soon after Hatsune Miku was released, a TV program degraded the users of Miku, and Miku's pictures became unable to search in main search engines at the same time.

These news widespread or "flamed up" in 2ch, then the many writings to lay the news to rest or "to put off the fire" followed. The postings were with the phrases "飽きた、寝る。 (Get bored. Go to bed.)" or "寝る、お前らも寝ろよ。 (Gonna bed. Follow me, y'all!). Soon other users made a lampoon character for these postings as Akita Neru.
MODEL: DEN2 - Stamped on her left shoulder, like with Miku and Haku. Its significance is currently unexplained.

PERSONALITY: A snob, a troll, and a delinquent girl, Neru is a girl that does things her way, which is ironic, considering she is employed in a writing agency for 700 yen per hour. She also speaks in Tohoku dialect. She tends to be depicted as the anti-hero or villain to Miku, and is occasionally portrayed as a Miku wannabe. She mainly represents forum/bbs trolls, those who don’t have enough patience to use the Vocaloid software, or those who gave up using Vocaloid. She is notably tsundere, most especially when depicted with Len or anyone she secretly likes.

Megpoid female and Gackpoid male




Gumi (or Megpoid) is a Vocaloid voiced by Megumi Nakajima. Megpoid is powered by Yamaha's Vocaloid2 software and was published by Internet Co.. She was released on June 25, 2009. [1]. As a character, her official name is Gumi, likely grafted from her seiyuu's name. Her character item is a carrot.

She has bright green hair and wears red goggles on her head. This is a parody of both her theme color and a character that Megumi Nakajima voiced, Ranka Lee from Macross Frontier; her design is similar to Ranka Lee.[2] One of her demo songs is "Be Myself", an original song by Megumi. Her voice range is F2 - A4 and her optimum tempo is 60 - 175BPM. The design of Gumi is by the manga artist Yuki Masami.

Gumi comes with 3 demo VSQ files, Happy Birthday, BeMyself and Hitori Yurari.


Musician and actor Gackt lent his voice and stage name for the creation of Vocaloid, Gakupo Kamui (神威がくぽ Kamui Gakupo). Yamaha wanted to utilize the voice of a musician but felt it would be difficult to acquire cooperation. They consulted Dwango (new owner of Vocaloid publisher Internet Co. Ltd.), who suggested Gackt, as Gackt had previously provided his voice for Dwango's cell phone services.[1] Referred to alternately as Gakupoid or Gackpoid, the most recent release includes a new program, OPUS Express, for mixing vocal parts with accompaniment and phoneme data.[2] The new software will be available for download for users with registered copies of previous Vocaloids. Besides the new program, Gackpoid will include two of Gackt's songs and three example songs.[3]

The product was originally intended to be released in June 2008, but although Gackt existed as a model for the Vocaloid, it lacked an illustrated avatar to match the previous Vocaloids. Popular manga author Kentarou Miura, famous for his dark fantasy epic Berserk, was approached. Due to Miura's affection for Nico Nico Douga, he agreed to offer his services as character designer for free. As a fan of Berserk, Gackt was more than happy with this arrangement, and requested Miura's sketches be faxed to him as well as the developers, even though he was on location for the filming of Guy Moshe's [Bunraku].[4] Gackpoid was released on July 31, 2008. A trial version of Gackpoid can be downloaded from the website.

Gackpoid makes a cameo in KEI's manga as a stage janitor.

Meiko


Meiko is a Vocaloid DTM (Desktop Music) software created by Crypton Future Media.She utilizes the older Vocaloid engine, the predecessor for Vocaloid2, and her voice is completely computer synthesized thus is less smooth sounding. Her voice is based on Japanese female singer Meiko Haigo's voice, which is steady, straightforward, and suitable for any musical genre. Although rougher sounding, Meiko and Kaito are able to incorporate much broader voice range than Miku and Rin/Len. She is fit to sing anything from pop, rock, jazz, and R & B to children's songs.

As a mascot character, being the counterpart of Kaito, she is also the older sister figure for the Vocaloid group. She wears red, and carries around a microphone stand. She also is frequently seen drinking from One Cup Ozeki, a sake widely available through vending machines, which serves as her character item.

HAKU YOWANE


弱音 (Yowane; negative sayings/thoughts)
ハク (Haku; roughly translated as utter.)
Her first name and last name make a play on words (弱音吐く; to say negative thoughts or to show white feather). Her white hair is from ハク, which has the same pronunciation with 白 (white).
TYPE: VOYAKILOID
MODEL: DTM - Abbreviation for "Desktop Music", stamped onto her left shoulder, in the same style as with Miku. The significance of DTM to Haku is undetermined.

PERSONALITY: Depressed, crybaby and quiet. May also act proper in other times when not drunk. During her earlier years, people often yell the phrase ツマンネ (tsumanne, boring) at her, pointing out her listless, boring and lifeless mannerism. Though it continues today, fans have came to use such catcalls affectionately, as appreciation to Haku grew. At present, Haku has recovered most of her reputation and is less depressed than when she was introduced. Her sake vice still stays, though, much to the chagrin of her younger (and more mature) brother Dell.

Little about him is known, but apparently, he was raised in the city of Fortuna as an orphan and taken in by Kyrie and Credo since childhood and grew into young adulthood together[1][2]. Nero's actual origin still remains unknown but Sanctus makes multiple references to Nero being "a descendant with Sparda's blood"[3]. Nero is a sardonic character and doesn't like to be messed with. He wields the Blue Rose, Red Queen, and Devil Bringer. Nero is a Holy Knight in the Order of the Sword, a religious order that worships Sparda and fights to protect the world from demons. He performs "special jobs" for the Order. Nero's rebellious nature leads to the Order making him work alone. Nero actually prefers to act as a lone wolf[4]. Kyrie is the childhood friend of Nero as well as a singer during the Order's ceremonies. He and Kyrie both fall in love some point prior to the beginning of the game. This love plays a major part during the events of Devil May Cry 4.

Sparda


Sparda is the demon responsible for defeating Mundus two thousand years ago, and is the father of Dante and Vergil.

In his human form, Sparda looks exactly like his sons. His Rebellious nature was that of Dante, while he had the cold personalty of Vergil, as stated in the Devil May Cry Novels. His hair was swept back, and he is always portrayed as wearing a monocle and purple jacket. In his true form, Sparda was a human sized demon, with cloven hooves, a semi-reptilian hide, a pair of sweeping horns, two pairs of insectoid wings and one pair of chiropteran/bat wings. His entire body appears to be made of grey armor with accents and overtones of tyrian purple, and features ornamental decorations, such as gold trim along his "crown," a vertical red gem in his forehead, as well as gold knee and elbow guards. It is unknown if these are part of an external armor or whether they are natural features of his anatomy.

Dante


Dante is the main character in the Devil May Cry series and a demon/human hybrid. He is the son of Sparda and Eva, as well as the twin brother of Vergil. His name comes from Dante Alighieri, who was a Florentine poet of the Middle Ages.

This weapon is weided by Nero.While being swung around at high speeds can be effective.The Sword has What looks like a motorcycle handle on it which,when pulled,releases a flammable liquid over the enemy.

Vilgil


Vergil is the older of the twin sons of Sparda and Eva, and unlike Dante he embraces his demonic heritage and despises his human heritage. His personality is a complete opposite to Dante's; whereas Dante is hot-headed and sarcastic, Vergil is cold blooded and sardonic. He has a lust for power and is willing to disregard anything to obtain the power of his father, Sparda. He uses Yamato, a keepsake from his father, and possesses a sense of style which rivals Dante's.

Alastor


Alastor is the first Demonic weapon Dante finds, and has the power of Lightning contained inside of it. Dante also possesses the ability to move faster with this sword equipped, has he is fused with the powers of the Lightning God, Alasto

Grenade Launcher


The grenade launcher is a very powerful weapon, but has a high recoil rate. This is why it is vital you learn how to move fast with the Grenade Launcher after firing, as Dante will delay himself for atleast 5 seconds. Jumping and rolling straight after firing will get you through.

Ebony & Ivory


Ebony and Ivory are Dante's homemade guns, and possess a magic power that allows the bullets to be infinite (Just like every other weapon in the game). These guns are very powerful when fired quickly, and they are also stylish.

Shotgun


The shotgun is a very good weapon to use against the Shadows, as it fires burst shots and is best used when close. I wouldn't reccommend it to use against any of the bosses in the game.

Ifrit Gauntlets


These sacred gauntlets are enchanted with the power of Ifrit's flames. Whenever Dante wheres these he can kick some major ass. Ifrit's are by far the most powerful Devil Trigger weapon, with exception to the Sparda at the end of the game.

Luce & Ombre


Meaning Light and Dark in Latine, these legendary pistols are used by the Legendary Dark Knight himself, and belonged to Dante's father. You can't use them as Dante, only as the Legendary Dark Knight.

Nightmare Beta


Nightmare Beta us found in the Demonic World, and is modeled on the boss, Nightmare. It fires large green beams and is very powerful when harnessed correctly. This weapon is used best in conjunction with the Sparda, as it has no DT Gauge.

Sparda


Sparda is the legendary Dark Sword, which is only useable by the bearer of the two amulet halves. You find this weapon after defeating Nelo Angelo for the final time and retrieving his half of the Amulet, which will turn the Force Edge into the Sparda Sword. This sword has no Devil Trigger powers.

Beowulf


Virgil and Dante

These guantlets and greaves use the power of flash to strike down demonic enemies.Althougt extremely powerful,The Beowulf set requires That Dante get up close and personal to his target Dante and Virgil use it to kill demon.

Blue Rose


A firearm used by Nero for long range,weaker attack.It has twobarrel and is called the Blue Rose.Interestingly,The Order of hte Sword feels though a sword is the only truly honourable weapon and dislike guns,making Nero the only person permitted to use one.
