Once upon a time, white people believed
That marriage of different races shouldn’t exist
So they decided to outlaw it
But the law was unfair to some
Who wanted to marry outside their race
And so one couple
Took their complaints to the highest court
And the judge told them
That it was unconstitutional to ban
Interracial marriage
So now people
Could marry whatever race they choose
But people still didn’t accept it
Even now, there is
Hatred towards interracial couples
And multiracial kids
Like demonstrated when
A racist principal
Threatened to cancel prom
Because of interracial couples
And called a biracial girl
A mistake that her parents made.
I guess the moral of the story is
We should accept people for who they are
