In reply to your question, "Do we have to use the tutorials or can we make something up?" The answer is yes, and yes. For the drawing you need to complete this month you will make it up without using a tutorial- the tutorials listed are just to get you drawing if you haven't in awhile. Next month there will be tutorials you need to do.
