Naruto Character Information
Sauske Uciha
is one of the few survivors of the Uchiha Clan, one of the most powerful clans of the Leaf Village. He is the number one rookie genin and is considered a genius. Sasuke has a very mysterious and bloody past, and his only goal in life is revenge.
Sasuke is a dark and serious kid. This makes him look cool to all of the girls in his class, but he doesn't care about that. Sasuke only cares about revenge, and to do this he needs to become strong, very strong. The exact reason for his lust for vengeance is still unknown, but it does have something to do with his elder brother and parents. His father and Mother along with the entire Uchiha clan other than Sasuke were murdured by his older brother Itachi. Sasuke has sworn to take revenge and kill Itachi. He was willing to do anything to get enough power to do so.
Sasuke is teamed up with Naruto and Sakura. At first Sasuke wasn't to happy about his little group, with Sakura having a huge crush on him and Naruto being the number one loudest ninja of the Leaf Village. But after some life and death battles they fought together Sasuke came to respect them. Especially Naruto, at first Sasuke thougt of Naruto as a loser, but then Naruto saved his life in the battle against Haku and Zabuza. Naruto defeated an enemy Sasuke himself couldn't handle. His pride was hurt, but he started to respect Naruto and started seeing him as his rival rather then some useless loser.
Because Sasuke is a descendant of the Uchiha Clan he possesses it's Bloodline. This gives him the ability to use the Sharingan. With his Sharingan, Sasuke is able to see through an opponent's strategy and counter it. He is also able to copy moves with it and improve them, like he did with one of Lee's TaiJutsu moves. If you ad up the fact that Sasuke was already a very talented ninja even before he could use his Sharingan, you have a very powerful ninja who improves really fast and has even greater potential.
Naruto Uzumaki
Naruto is the number one loudest ninja of the Leaf Village. He is loud, hyperactive, clumsy, kind of stupid and he dreams of becoming hokage. Although Naruto definitely isn't the smartest or most talented ninja of the Leaf Village, he does have one hell of a lot of chakra at his disposal.
Twelve years before Naruto graduated from the academy a powerful demon called Kyuubi terrorized the Leaf Village. The Fourth Hokage managed to seal the Nine-Tailed Demon Fox within Naruto, but unfortunately he didn't survive the battle himself.
The Fourth wanted Naruto to be seen as a hero, a boy who saved the village from Nine-Tails. But unfortunately that wasn't meant to be. Many of the older villagers saw Naruto as the Nine-Tails himself, and hated and ignored him for it.Because of this, Naruto desperately seeks for acknowledgement for his existence. He is a first-class prankster and he tells everyone he will someday become the hokage of his village. Because of this, Naruto desperately seeks for acknowledgement for his existence. The first person to really acknowledge Naruto's existence is teacher Iruka. Ikura really looked after Naruto and taught him the values of life. If it wasn't for him, Naruto probably wouldn't be where he is now. In combat Naruto isn't exactly what you would call a genius. He is more the type who would charge in head on to his opponent, although from time to time Naruto does have his moments with some deceiving tactics he comes up with. But Naruto is not to be underestimated. He has a lot of chakra at his disposal, especially when he learns to tap in to Kyuubi's chakra. This huge amount of chakra makes him able to go berserk (like he did against Haku) and summon Gamabunta.
Kakashi Hatake
He is known as "the Copy Ninja Sharingan Kakashi" all over the world, and it is rumored that he has memorized over 1000 jutsu. At first glance you would never guess Kakashi is a very powerful jounin. He's very relaxed and sometimes even somewhat slow. He also loves to read his romantic (or is it dirty?) book "Come Come Paradise". However, in this case, appearances can be deceiving. Kakashi is known throughout the world as a formidable adversary and he was an apprentice of the Fourth Hokage.
Kakashi is a very good but very strict teacher. Prior to Naruto's team, he had never allowed any of the teams he was to teach become genins. He uses the same teaching methods the Third and Fourth Hokages used, and he emphasizes teamwork above all else. He feels that someone who does not understand teamwork is not worthy of becoming a ninja.The sharingan gives Kakashi a huge advantage in battle. He is able to read and copy his opponents moves with it. Almost all of Kakashi's moves are copied from other ninjas. The only exception is the Chidori. The Chidori or "Lightning Edge" as Kakashi nicknamed it, is Kakashi's sole original technique.
Guy
Guy is a Konoha Village jounin and the sensei of the team whose members are Rock Lee, Tenten, and Hyuuga Neji. Like Lee, he is a specialist in hand-to-hand combat or taijutsu, but unlike Lee, he can use ninjutsu or genjutsu. Gai and Lee are very close. Lee is Gai's favorite student because of his nindo, (way of the ninja), and because Lee looks like him in his younger days. Gai is also proud that Lee has mastered the renge, secondary renge, and the ura renge at such a young age. Gai especially appreciates Lee because he has the same eyebrows and the same nindo. He sees his childhood self in Lee.
He and Kakashi are known as eternal rivals, gai is in the lead with 50 wins to 49 losses. Later it becomes known that this is just the score of a rock-paper-scissors game they played when they were kids. He is also a fantastic teacher since he really cares about his students and their feelings, especially Lee. Although he really cares about his students, he is very strict about his rules and those who break them will receive a punishment.
Rock Lee
is a genin level ninja. at the beginning of the series Just like his row model Gai-sensei, he is a TaiJutsu specialist. Lee is incapable of using NinJutsu or even GenJutsu. But due to Lee's great determination and extreme hard work, he was able to counter this great weakness by specializing in Taijutsu.
In Lee's schooldays everyone thought he would never be able to become a ninja, simply because he can't use NinJutsu and GenJutsu. But Lee has great determination, and said to himself that he could be a very strong ninja that only uses TaiJutsu. That's when he met Gai-sensei. Gai is also a ninja that only uses TaiJutsu. Gai-sensei became Lee's teacher and row model, and he taught Lee everything he knows now.
Lee also has a crush on Sakura. At first Sakura didn't want anything to do with him because he looks weird. But after saving her life and the fight with Gaara, she is starting to see what's so special about him: his unstoppable determination. Lee's training consists of physical training only. He always wears extremely heavy weights around his ankles. Lee only takes them off in life and death situations. When he does this he speed and strength increase dramatically. But Lee's true power lies in the fact that he can open several of his body's chakra Gates. After opening several of his Gates he can temporarily posses even more chakra then the Hokage, which makes him inhumanly fast. The downside of this technique is that it does severe damage to his body, that's why Lee can only do it for a very short time. If he can't finish his opponent before his body receives to much damage, he's done for.
Jiriya
was a student of the Third Hokage and the sensei of the future Fourth Hokage. Jiraiya is also one of the Three Legendary Sannin, together with Tsunade and Orochimaru. He is the "Rock" as the three are heavily based off the "Rock, Paper, Scissors" game, or also known as Janken.
You first see him peeping in the women bathing place to "collect material". Naruto then gave him his nickname "ero-sennin" meaning "perverted hermit". Although he is kinda stupid and funny, he truly is a master ninja. He teaches Naruto to control his 2 chakras and to summon toads. He also tought Naruto the Rasengan.
As such, Jiraiya's fighting techniques are mostly defensive, His "Underworld Swamp" immobilizes a large amount of ninja's in a marsh, and his "Underworld Spines" defend him from any physical attack. He mostly relies on his summoning frogs to aid him, though he rarely summons Gamabunta.
There might be a good reason why he specializes in defensive techniques, and that is because he is a complete and utter pervert, who writes a series of books known as Icha Icha Paradise, a book Kakashi himself adores. As such, he has grown so adept at peeping he is very rarely caught.
Itachi
is one of the last of the Uchiha clan, he graduated from the chuunin selection exam at the age of 10, and when he was 13 he already became an ANBU Captain. Together with his brother, Uchiha Sasuke, they're supposably the only ones still alive after the Clan's massacre. Their clan, once praised as the strongest clan in Leaf village, was viscously wiped out by none other then Itachi himself. Itachi, a genius praised as the clan's future, killed all his family in a single night. Everybody except for Sasuke, he was left alive in order to avenge the clan. As Itachi himself stated: "At the moment you aren't even worth killing. My foolish little brother. If you want to kill me, despise me, hate me, live a loathsome life and cling to life. And then some day, when you have the same eyes as I do, come before me".
Itachi, being an Uchiha member, has the feared Sharingan bloodline ability. An eye-technique used to copy an opponent's techniques, and see through their movement. Itachi, having fully mastered the "Sharigan Eye", is able to use the clan's ultimate eye-technique: "Mangekyou sharigan".
After the incident Itachi left the Leaf, and became a missing-nin. The reason why Itachi let Sasuke live and revealed the Mangekyou Sharigan's secret is unclear. It may be because only a Mangekyou sharigan user can kill him, and he wished to be killed by his brother. Or prehaps he really let him live because he thought he wasn't even worth killing. Either way, he forced his brother to live a painfull life, swearing that he will avenge the clan and kill Itachi. The reason why he murdered all members of the Uchiha clan is also not known. Altough he said it was to test his ability, it's strange that Itachi already seemed to have joined Akatsuki prior to the killing. Itachi also informs Sasuke about a second Mangekyou sharigan user besides himself.
Itachi is currently a member of the organization "Akatsuki", an organization comprised of "Sly S-Rank Criminals" as Kakashi stated. Their ultimate goal is unknown, but we do know they're after the jinchuuriki and Itachi and his partner Kisame were ordered to track down the Kuuybi (the nine tails fox demon) jinchuuriki, and take him back with them. In other words, they were ordered to kidnap Naruto, the host in which the Kyuubi was sealed. Some time after Itachi joined Akatsuki Orochimaru tries to take over Itachi's body, but fails and ends up having his hand severely damaged. After this incident Orochimaru leaves the organization.
Itachi first appeared in episode 80, where we breifly veiwed him and Kisame observing the ruined Leaf village, after Orochimaru's invasion. Itachi and Kisame get detected by Kakashi who is defeated by Itachi quite easily using the Mangekyou Sharingan. Kakashi being defeated so easily, searches for a way to counter the Mangekyou Sharigan. We have yet to see Itachi's true power, but considering his Sharingan and the fact that he's very skilled with genjutsu and ninjutsu makes him a force to be wreckend with.
3 hokage
Also known as Sandaime, he is the third hokage of the hidden village Konoha. Sarutobi is 68 years old and this is his second time to be Hokage. He retired so the 4th would be able to become kage, but when the 4th died in his fight with kyuubi, Sarutobi once again became the Hokage. He was the instructor of the sannin, the most noted ninja team of their era, but eventually all three left Konoha and him later in their lives. He is the first known to have done the bell training that we see Team 7 doing. To most of the villagers he is a very warm and paternal figure that mainly protects and provides for the villagers in a very kind and gentle way. Through his wisdom and strength as a leader, Konoha continued to flourish while he was the Hokage. His reputation for knowing all the jutsus from the village of Konoha has earned him the name "The Professor".
Eventually at the chuunin exam that Naruto participated in, Orochimaru made an alliance with the Sand village and they attacked Konoha and he engaged Sarutobi in a one on one battle. Orochimaru summoned the two previous hokages to fight Sarutobi and the outcome was that Sarutobi died in that fight but not before stilling the unholy summons and taking part of Orochimaru's spirit and his ability to do jutsus. Once before Sarutobi tried to stop Orochimaru, but he at that time was unable to kill his former student who had been his prized pupil and once desired successor. So he like the 4th makes the ultimate sacrifice and forfeits his life to protect the village.
He has a grandson Konohamaru who wants to succeed him someday, and then possibly the Jounin Sarutobi Asuma is closely related to him as well
4 hokage
The Fourth Hokage and also known as Konoha's "Yellow Flash" with his blonde, spikey hair. Yondaime is alluded to be the greatest ninja that Konoha has ever produced. Yondaime was a respected and popular Hokage and is also seen to have a gentle and wise spirit.
Yondaime was mentored by Jiraiya, one of the Legendary Sannin, along with the two teammates who have yet to be named. After becoming a Jounin, Yondaime became sensei for a team consisting of Kakashi, Obito, and Rin. Yondaime is feared by the opposition in battle and, during war time, ninjas are told to "flee on sight" if they're ever misfortunate enough to meet the "Yellow Flash."
Not much else is known about him, other than the fact that he saved Konoha from the Nine-Tails Fox thirteen years ago. In order to do this, Yondaime was forced to sacrifice himself using the Demonic Soul Seal technique, and he then sealed the Kyubi's soul into Naruto. It is not known how Yondaime sealed the Kyubi in Naruto, and it is also unknown how Yondaime and Naruto are connected, whether it be family or otherwise.
Not much has been seen of Yondaime in battle. The one technique that was seen, the Body Flicker Technique, consists of placing a seal or marker onto an opponent. This allows Yondaime to instantaneously move from his spot to behind his opponent, literally in a "flash." Although no one has Yondaime use it, it is also known that it took him three years to develop and perfect the Rasengan. Through the battles that we have seen though, we gather that he is an immensely powerful as he approaches incredible odds and dispatches them to the amazement of his comrades. He strikes fear into his opponents with his speed.
His strength though is matched with his desire for the village and the people in it. When he is tutoring Kakashi's team, he is gentle yet firm with them even when they disobey his orders. He attempts to reconcile differences and make peace within his team so that they will be able to act with unity and not divisiveness. And eventually he does make the ultimate sacrifice with for his village in using the technique that demands his own life. So he like his predecessor sacrifice their life for the protection of the village
Garra
Born as an experiment from the Hidden Village of Sand, Gaara was combined with the spirit of a demonic sand priest known as Shukaku, not unlike Naruto and the Nine Tails. Gaara grew up without knowing love. For a long time he tought being spoiled equals love, but when he met Rock Lee that opinion changed. Unfortunately, Gaara became unstable around the age of six years. Consequently, his father, Kazakage, ordered numerous assassination attempts upon him, all failing miserably. This betrayal caused Gaara to become hateful and deeply suspicious of everyone, including his siblings, who he regarded as "lumps of meat linked together by hatred and murderous intent."
The tattoo on Gaara's forehead means love, which combined with his name means, "I Love Death". Since he only feels alive when he kills, he believes that killing is his reason for being. The tattoo was put on Gaara's head by Gaara himself after his abilities killed Yashamaru. Yashamaru, being the one that raised Gaara, being the only one that seemed to care for Gaara.
Altough Gaara's father asked Yashamaru to kill Gaara, Yashamaru says he had willingly accepted the mission. Having never truly loved Gaara, hoping that killing him would avenge the death of his sister. Yashamaru eventually detonates himself with explosive tags covering his body, with his last words being "please die". Gaara survived the blast without even being injured, losing the only person he thought cared for him, losing his fate in bonds and love.
When we take a look at Naruto Shippuuden we notice Gaara has undergone some personality changes. His relationship to his siblings has become somewhat normal. He has come to concider Kankuro and Temari as his brother and sister where he used to threaten to kill them if they got in his way. He talks to Kankuro about his problems and dreams.
In a conversation Gaara has with Kankuro Gaara says: "In order to escape a path of loneliness, I have no choice to but to work hard and make my own path. If I do that, then someday... someday I can be like him. That's why as a shinobi of the Sand I'll aim to be the Kazekage. So I can live a life connected to my village. I want to work hard so that other will accept my existence.". It's obivious that Naruto inspired Gaara to question his bonds with other people. Suffering, sadness and joy - He want to be able to share it with another person, he want his existence to be necessary to other people, not as a weapon to be feared but as the Hidden Sand's Kazekage. He eventually follows up his dad as the Fifth Kazekage and really acts as the villager's protector as seen in his fight with Deideira. The villagers also have come to respect Gaara, and the younger females of the village even like Gaara. In the beginning of Shippuuden Gaara fulfills his role as the village's Kazekage, but gets taken by Akatsuki doing so. Gaara apparently dies from having Shukaku getting extracted by Akatsuki.
Sasori
Sasori was once part of the Hidden Sand Village, but 20 years ago he left the village and became a missing-nin. He developed and uses many battle puppets to fight his opponent(s) with. Even Karusu, Kuroari, and Sanshouuo, the puppets that Kankuro uses were made by Sasori.
He is a very skilled ninja, with many aces up his sleeve. He is part of Akatsuki and travels around with Deidara as his Akatsuki partner. Before Orochimaru left Akatsuki and Deidara became Sasori's partner it was Orochimaru who was part of a team with Sasori. Sasori is also known as "Akasun no Sasori" or "the Scorpion of the Red Sand". He is very impatient and likes to get things done as fast as he can, he doesn't like to let people wait or be waiting himself.
Sasori lost his parents at a young age and was left in the care of his grandmother, Chiyo. It's she who taught him everything there is to know about puppetry. When Sasori first learned how to use this ability, he made puppets resembling his dead parents in order to feel loved by them. He later on starts creating human puppets (puppets made from human bodies) from opponents he thought worthy of becoming his puppet.
His favorite puppets are Hiruko and the Third Kazekage, both shinobi from the Hidden Sand who he kidnapped and killed to become part of his collection. Hiruko is a more defensive puppet, while through the Third Kazekage's puppet Sasori can use the Third's unique Iron Sand ability.
But that's not all, Sasori himself is actually a puppet too, he converted his own body into a puppet. It gives him a young appearance, and let's him control 100 puppets at once by using a mechanism on his chest that can spin numerous chakra strings. To be able to do this he has to be able to use chakra, for this reason his heart is preserved inside his puppet. His heart, being the only part left of his human body, is the only way to really kill Sasori. Otherwise he'll just transfer his heart to another puppet.
Sasori is eventually killed by his grandmother Chiyo and Sakura. He is stabbed through the heart in the form of a hug by the human puppets of Sasori's parents. After his defeat Sasori informs Sakura of his spy within Orochimaru's ranks, Kabuto Yakushi. He tells her where and when she can meet him.
Kimimaro
Kimimaro was one of the original sound 5 and appears near the end of their journey to protect Sasuke so he can reach the level 2 cursed seal. Kimimaro is the sole survivor of the Kaguya Clan, the clan who can manipulate their bodies skeleton frame. He is well suited for close combat fighting and distant fighting. Since he can regenerate and make new bones, he has a endless supply of bones he can use against his opponent.
Kimimaro suffers from a illness which was not thoroughly explained through out the manga. Taking a look at the facts from the manga, it could be considered a cancer-like disease since it effects his whole body and makes him sick. While he does suffer from an illness he still is strong enough to hold his own against most of the opponents which approach to fight him. In this case that would be Gaara and Rock Lee.
Kimimaro also knows the 5 special dances which he can use at his own will to kill his opponents. All of these dances can only be used by him and any other kaguya clan members. His attacks all cause a devastating attack and can also be used for defense. He is well taught in the way of the sword and uses his own bones as weapons. He can form his bones into any shape which makes him a fearsome ninja in the series.
Kimimaro could be considered like another Haku. He has a deep gratitude and love for Orochimaru and he is willing to do whatever it takes to help Orochimaru complete his plan of destroying the Hidden Leaf Village. We don't see him in the attack on Konoha because he is very ill at the time but it has been said that if he were in top condition the whole plan would of went as Orochimaru had planned and the village would have been demolished. He is a powerful ninja but his illness is his weakness.
Oruchimaru
Oruchimaru is one of the 3 Legendary Sannin of the Leaf Village, until his thirst for the knowledge of Forbidden Techniques exiled him from the village. Since then, he has moved on from body to body in a technique that transfers his soul into another one in a bid for immortality. His next victim, or prodigy, as he states, is Uchiha Sasuke.
After his initial meeting with Sasuke in the Death Forest, Orochimaru gives him a curse seal as tantalizing bait; using Sasuke's ambition against himself, so that Sasuke would one day follow him and Orochimaru would claim his greatest power. The Sharingan.
He also was once part of Akatsuki, the same organization that Uchiha Itachi and Hoshigaki Kisame are currently in, but left because he feared Itachi to a great magnitude.
Orochimaru has terrifying offensive techniques, and the exact opposite of Jiraiya. His ability to make Kakashi freeze dead in his tracks by just showing off his killing intent should be indicator of how strong he is.
He founded the Hidden Sound Village (Otogakure) with the sole intention of gathering human subjects for his forbidden jutsus development and research.
He failed at the attempt of Destroying the Hidden Leaf Village, and Third Hokage Sarutobi, did a special sealing technique (Shiki Fuujin which was able to take Orochimaru's soul but since he was old and injured he was only able to seal Orochimaru's arms within him.
Diadara
Diadara is a missing-nin from the Hidden Rock Village who specializes in explosives. At first it seemed unclear whether he was a he or a she, since both the third person pronouns he and she are used to refer to Deidara. But judging from the deep masculin voice givin to him in the anime, he's definitely a male.
He's able to manipulate clay and forms it into different animal-like shapes to attack his opponents with. The clay is infused with chakra and is detonated from a remote distance by Deidara using the command "Katsu", which translates into "Detonate".
The means to make this explosive clay are the mouths in the palm of each hand. All he has to do is devour an animal or anything for that matter and he is able to copy its form. And like said he's able to bring it to life by infusing chakra into the molded clay. Depending on how much chakra is infused he refers to his creations from anywhere between "C1" to "C4", C4 being the strongest.
Deidara was recruited after being noticed by Akatsuki's leader, Pein, as a successful terrorist bomber for hire. Originally Deidara refused to join Akatsuki, but after being defeated by Uchiha Itachi he was forced to join. From that point on Deidara is determined to defeat Itachi, and searches for a way to resists Itachi's genjutsu. During his time with Akatsuki Deidara was first teamed up with Sasori. Sasori having a somewhat artistic ability himself earned the respect of Deidara, who always addresses him as master Sasori. After Sasori is killed, he's paired with Tobi, a relatively young boy who tends to unintentially irritate Deidara a lot. Despite that, Deidara tries to protect Tobi, and treats him as a diciple.
Deidara is also the one who starts the assault on the Sand village in order to abduct the Kazekage Gaara. He succeeds in his mission and was able to obtain the jinchuuriki Gaara. He's a long distance fighter and isn't partically good at taijutsu as shown in his fight with Gaara. His long range attacks however are very damaging, and since he's not your average head-on attacker he's one Akatsuki member you do not want to underestimate. During his fight with Gaara Deidara loses one hand, but was able to revive it. The arm he lost escaping Kakashi's Mangekyou Sharingan wasn't revivable.
Just like Sasori was able to turn himself into a puppet, Deidara is able to turn himself into a human bomb. Just like on his hands, he has a mouth on his chest which can be unsealed. Once unsealed and provided with clay he can turn himself into a living bomb which can destroy everything in a 10 kilometer radius. He eventually uses this technique as a last resort in his fight against Uchiha Sasuke in an attempt to prove his art is absolute. Deidara hated the fact that it was Sasuke, and not him, who eventually killed Orochimaru and tries to end the fight in a draw. However, Sasuke was able to survive and Deidara just ended up blowing himself up. Deidara first appears in episode 135 stating that Akatsuki would eventually kill Orochimaru.
Kisami
Kisami was introduced alongside Uchiha Itachi, as a fellow member of the dreaded Akatsuki. Not much is known about Kisame, other than his past affiliation with Momochi Zabuza in the Hidden Mist's Seven Legendary Swordsmen group. He has a freakish personality and an equally freakish shark-like appearance.
He has a terrifying sword he calls Samehada, which is basicaly a chakra-absorbing sword that cuts through his opponent's chakra by absorbing the chakra around it. The amount of chakra it can absorb is unclear, but seems to be unlimited. Kisame's Samehada is of comparable size to Zabuza Momochi's chopping blade, but rather than slicing its intended victim, it rips them apart like the teeth of a shark. Kisame is also the only one that is able to wield his Samehada. When Maito Gai attempted to use the Samehada against Kisame, the sword responded by attacking Gai's hand with spikes coming out of the handle.
Kisame loves to fight, and was eager to fight Asuma, Kurenai, and Gai at the same time, but was disappointed when Itachi ordered a retreat. He is fearless, and not afraid to use his Samehada liberally. He uses water-based jutsus and is able to create water from nothing, turning any battleground into a lake, enabling him to use even stronger water-based jutsus. Kisame's amount of chakra is said to be the largest in Akatsuki. Truly someone to be cautious of, if not terrified of. As an Akatsuki member Kisame was assigned to capture the host of the four-tailed beast, an assignment he already succeeded in.
4 hokage
Sadly we haven't seen much of this Konoha legend in action so most info on him comes from the testimony of other characters in the story. All we really know about Minato is that he was the Jounin who trained Kakashi and that he was the one who defeated Kyuubi by sealing him inside Naruto's body. The most dangerous thing about Minato was his insane speed gained thanks to his Body Flicker Jutsu (Shunshin no Jutsu). This jutsu instantly transports him to anyplace he wants, hence the nickname "Yellow Flash of Konoha" and can be used over long distances as long as he knows exactly where he's going. Another jutsu that Minato uses involes special kunais. These kunais are made so wherever they are throw, the 4th Hokage can immediately teleport to its location. This technique is particularly effective on large numbers of enemies; Minato will simply distribute his special kunai to ally ninja and tell them to throw them at different targets at the same time, then simply teleport to the location and finish off his opponents. This attack can literally defeats a whole army almost instantly. Minato is also one of only four people in the Naruto world able to use the Rasengan, as well as its creator. While we don't know the peculiars of the Rasengan's birth, we do know it took Minato three years to perfect the technique. Based on Gamabunta's testimony we also know that Minato was able to use the Summoning Jutsu (Kyuichose No Jutsu) to summon frogs just like his teacher. As a last resort Minato has the ability to call on the most power and most dangerous Jutsu that he himself created, the Demonic Soul Seal (Fuuinjutsu Shiki Fuujin), the Jutsu that sealed Kyuubi inside Naruto. This Jutsu allows the user to call upon a Shinigami or "Death God" which joins with the actions of the user. Shinigami reaches into an outline of a soul in front of him which is actually the user. When the user grabs the victim, the Shinigami extends his hand through the soul outline and comes out from the stomach of the user. The Shinigami's hand goes into the enemy's stomach where from it literally rips the soul out. After the soul is pulled back into the user, the user says "Fuuin" (Seal) this completes the seal of the soul in the user's body. This can be used until the user runs out of energy, and since it is a sealing Jutsu, there is a price. The user pays the price with his life, which death devours. The souls of both the user and the target are kept in the belly of the Shinigami, and will suffer for all eternity in the belly of the Shinigami never gaining release, hating each other and battling for all of eternity. However in the 4th's case he somehow moved Kyuubi's soul into Naruto's body instead of into the Shinigami's stomach, it is presently unknown exactly how he accomplished this, but it's a good thing he did.
