Step 1 - Start with a round shape a bit oval for Spot´s face, thinner at the top, wider at the bottom for his cheeks, then draw Spot´s ears on each side of his face at the bottom of it, by making half circles in each side.Got it? Great!
Step 2 - Draw his neck by adding a little boat shape in the middle of his face. And then, sketch his body starting from the left with a little line coming out of his neck, going down, then going up, and ending at the right side of his neck...Very good!!!!
Step 3 - For his arm, draw a long line on the right side, and join it with the bottom part of his body. Once you have done this, sketch a basic shape for his hand and make the little lines for the fingers...Very good!!!!
Step 4 - Do the same for the left arm and hand....well done!!!
Step 5 - Draw a little line joining both arms leaving a square shape in the lower part of Spot´s body...and then sketch the right leg by drawing a line coming out of his arm, curving a bit going down, and make the shape of his toe joining with his hand, do the same with his other leg.
Step 6 - Star drawing Spot´s hair drawing a curve line on his front following the head´s shape, touching his right ear, and then make curved lines joining the first line...
Step 7 - Now make more wavy curved lines conecting them to the rest of the hair...to make him a wild look...Make sure you draw a little line in each ear....That is great!!!!
Step 8 - And now let´s make 2 round shapes for his eyes just above the ending of the ears in the middle of the face, draw 2 more round shapes in each eye close to the center. After that, sketch a beck shape between the eyes for his nose...awsome!!!
Step 9 - Now draw the lines for the eyebrows avobe each eye, touching the hair, for the mouth draw 2 paralel lines across the face joining them with a curved line at both sides and fill them with teeth, 6 at the top and 5 at the bottom.
Step 10 - Trace your pencil lines using a black pen or marker. You can also print this coloring page of Spot here...Great job!
Step 11 - For the coloring I used a few shades of different browns. For his body, face and hair, I used light to darker browns to give volume to the picture. You can also take a look to this coloring technique on the final step video above.
