Today’s tutorial lesson is on how to draw a dancing elephant. Follow this step by step tutorial carefully, you can play the steps again or slow sow the animation to help you.
Step 1
The guidelines have been done with a thin grey pencil. The head is done with 2 circles and the body is bean shaped. Remember, the elephant’s head and body are curved, so the guidelines across them must be curved.
Step 2
Fill in the details with a thick grey pencil. Use the white pencil to erase the guidelines
Step 3
Use the paint bucket tool to colour the elephant a transparent blue. You can fill in the gaps with the pencil too. I’ve used transparent white and black to airbrush the highlights and shadows.
Step 4
This is for the finishing touch. Tidy up the outline by tracing over it with black pencil. Give your elephant a shadow and some speed lines to make it look like it’s in action. You can decorate the bg as you like, I’ve used funky stars and yellow waves.
That’s how you draw a dancing elephant! If you like this tutorial, check out my other tutorials on how to draw cartoons.
