Clark Kent takes a break from his daily routine as a reporter at The Daily Planet to swing into action as Superman when his beloved Lois Lane is in trouble.
Step 1-
This is a dramatic action pose. I sketched in guidelines to get the proportions right. Superman's head and fist are large, as seen from this top angle. The figure and arms are foreshortened.
Step 2-
Draw the oval for the head, an arc for the shoulders, a V for the stomach and put in stick arms and legs. The fists are large - box them in before you put in the fingers.
Now use a thick black pencil outline and for inner details, a thin pencil.
Step 3-
Paint in the colors using a transparent shade with the paint bucket tool. Use the airbrush for the darks.
For the background, use thick airbrush strokes to show the swing of the Superhero as he flies high on his mystery mission to save the world.
