Here comes Santa Claus with a bagful of Christmas presents to place under your tree.
Step 1-
This is a simple drawing created with basic shapes. First I drew two long triangles with a grey pencil line - 1 for Santa's cap and the other for the Xmas tree. Then I drew a semi circle under each triangle - 1 for Santa's beard and the other for the pot holding the tree.
Step 2 - Now I filled in the interesting bits. Santa's face - a circle for the nose, a D shape for the mouth. and a small circle on the top of his cap. For the tree I used a + and then an X over it, then drew in the star around the points.
Step 3-
I finally put in the colors - No shading - just plain red for the cap and green for the tree with an uneven edge, leaving a white space between the outline and color. Light blue for the snow and cotton and the star.
Step 4-
Black pencil outlines with an uneven finish give the drawing a different sttyle that makes it unique. Use a cool color for the background since its the winter season. I've chosen a pale lavender.
Lookout! Santa Claus is coming to town for Christmas!
