The first movie I saw Leonardo DiCaprio in was Titanic. Gosh when that movie came out EVERYONE was talking about Titanic. The Celine Dion titanic theme ‘My Heart Will Go On’ was played like every day on the music channels. It’s no wonder that Titanic won 11 Oscars. The movie is based on the real life story of the sinking of the RMS Titanic in 1912.The main characters Jack and Rose are fictional, but many of the famous people of the time who were on the Titanic are shown in the movie. Would you believe it? For twelve years, Titanic was the highest-grossing film ever, until Avatar came out this year. Both films are written and directed by James Cameron… says a lot about his talent doesn’t it. Anyway back to Titanic, this tutorial is on how to draw the Titanic, or more specifically, the titanic sinking.
Draw guidelines for the sinking Titanic and the iceberg using a thin grey pencil.
Use the airbrush tool to colour. Merge the darks and lights with a mid-tone. The yellow is the highlight for the sky and the sea.
Finish off with the detailing with transparent black pencil.
