I love babies, but I have to admit they can be pretty hard to handle on a long term basis. You have to remember that a baby is not cute and gurgly all the time. If you spend enough time with a baby, you’ll find that you spend most of your time either comforting a crying baby or chasing after baby to keep him or her from doing things they shouldn’t, and then comforting them again coz they’re mad you didn’t let ‘em do what they wanted. At this point you might arrive at the conclusion that I did… babies are fun in small doses. Also they really are little angels… especially when they’re sleeping. Seriously, there is nothing more beautiful or peaceful than a sleeping baby. So this tutorial is on How to draw a baby …this baby is wide awake though, with typical baby curl, big doe eyes and a happy baby smile. Hmm… I think I should have started this tutorial with a warning – Beware- Extreme Cuteness Ahead . Sigh! I love babies. Follow along to learn How to draw a baby step by step
Step 1
Use simple rounded shapes for your guidelines. A circle for the head, ovals for the body and feet etc. These simple shapes are part of what make your baby look cute.
Step 2
When you think of babies and colours, there’s only one way to go – pastels, pastels and more pastels : ). I’ve used the airbrush tool for this.
Step 3
Now give your baby drawing a nice bold outline with the pencil tool. Use darker shades of the fill colours for this.
That’s it for your blue eyed baby. For more tutorials like How to draw a baby , check out How to draw a man, How to draw a girl, How to draw Mom.
