There are so many grass types. Herbs with narrow leaves, or short turf, or even large bamboo shoots are called grasses.
There are grasslands the world over that make perfect habitats for grazers or grass eating animals.
This is a tutorial on How to Draw Grass - not a complete grassland or a blade of grass, but a clump of grass.
Step 1- You need to remember that grass is very delicate and tender and sways with the wind. First use a pale yellow color for the background that goes with the green of the grass.
Step 2 - Now draw the clump lightly with the tall blades in the centre and the short ones around it.
Step 3 - Use a pale green to color the grass and a darker green for the outline. Keep your strokes fluid and let them curve over and twist to show their suppleness.
