The eagle, the magnificent predator of the air, soars high into the sky. Its in its element with this aerial view of the world.
This dramatic low angle shows off the eagle's wide wing span.
For this drawing, I've done the guidelines with a transparent black pencil, beginning with an oval for the body. The eagle has a hooked beak and small keen eyes. It's wings are stretched out as it soars.
After filling in the details in black pencil, erase the guidelines with white pencil.
When colouring, I started with a base colour of a transparent light brown. Over it are airbrushed details in two darker shades of brown which are also transparent. The sky is done in a cloudy pattern with two light blue shades.
To make the drawing look sharper, I've done more detailed shading witha transparent brown pencil, and gone over the outline with a black pencil.
Be sure not to miss out the white hightlight for the eagle's eye. It's beak and talons are done in yellow.
There you have it, the Soaring Eagle! Enjoy!
