How to Draw Clouds

Today’s drawing tutorial is on how to draw clouds. The clouds in this how to draw tutorial are realistic clouds. My next tutorial will be on how to draw a cloud in a cartoon style. So watch this tutorial carefully if you want to learn how to draw clouds realistically.

Step 1
Start by drawing the horizon line. It is curved and very low down so that you can see a lot of sky. The clouds are drawn in perspective. The clouds at the top of the drawing are big, but they get smaller as they get towards the bottom and the center of the drawing. This is called the vanishing point in perspective drawing.

Step 2
The sky is lighter nearer the horizon line. The clouds are done in grey and white. Using the airbrush tool and letting the colours of the sky and clouds merge adds to the cloudy look.
