TUTORIAL DETAILS
From the nursery rhyme “Itsy Bitsy Spider” to the comic, cartoon and movie flick “Spider Man”, spiders seem to be one of the most common characters or themes around. They have spinnerets that emit silk. What seems to be a fragile thread is actually strong and elastic. Many would agree that spiders are natural weavers. Look at how they form their web to catch some prey. Weaving patterns of some ethnic dream catchers, thread earrings, and other interesting stuff are actually inspired by spider webs. You may not have a spinneret or Spider Man ability to jump from one building to another but you can very well sketch a spider’s home cum trap by following this step by step How to Draw a Spider Web tutorial. There are a few types of webs: orb, tangle-web or cobweb and the one that looks like an extra thin film of super fine silk. What you will learn in this How to Draw a Spider Web lesson is an orb type. If you’re preparing a lesson for kids on spiders or a fan of Spider Man, this simple project is sure to spark interest.
