Hey all! Here’s a free online tutorial lesson on how to draw a cartoon lion. Hope you like it!

Step 1
Start with the guidelines. First, a circle for the head and then the snout and neck . The body is bean shaped.

Step 2
Fill in the details and erase the guidelines with white pencil.

Step 3
Use transparent colours to colour in the lion. I’ve used the pencil and paint bucket tools to do this. Next you can give the lion a nice tick black outline with the pencil for a cartoony style.

Step 4
Add highlights and shadows with the airbrush tool in transparent whites and blacks respectively. Give the lion a white highlight on his shiny nose, touch up your drawing and you’re done! You have learnt how to draw a lion in 4 easy steps!
