"You don't know the power of the Dark Side" says Darth Vader from Star Wars. He is a master of the Dark Side of the Force and one of the Emperor's most trusted servants.


To Draw Darth Vader, first simplify the figure and break it down to a few imaginary lines. Use black with 30% opacity to sketch an oval for the head, a curve for the shoulders, a V for his torso, and stick figure lines for his hands and legs. A small circle shows you where the elbows and knees come in. Sketch a curve to box in the fingers and a triangle for the feet.

Now use 100% black to draw in the details. White out the imaginary guidelines. Use a thick airbrush with less opacity in blue to put in broad strokes for the background.

Now, with grey for midtones, black for the darks, finish your art work with blue for the highlights. His laser sword has a slightly transparent red airbrush stroke with a pure white beam in the centre.
