How to draw Amy Rose

Weilding the formidable Piko Piko Hammer and looking super cute... here we have Amy Rose! Our pretty pink hedgehog claims she is Sonic's girfriend (though Sonic would strongly disagree!)


Using light grey pencil for guidelines, I've started by drawing a circle for her head. She's got pointy cat-like ears and big eyes so I sketched those guidelines next. Ive done one lone for where the top of her eyes will reach and another below it for where the bottom of the eyes will reach. Next I did stick figure lines for her hands and legs.


Next I've filled in the details using a black pencil. For the hammer I used the line tool though. Then I've erased the guidelines using white pencil.


I've done the colourong in two shade for each colour. One is a base colour, the other is a darker shade of the same colour. All the colours are transparent.


I've done the background in shades of transparent green with the airbrush, giving it a watercolour like effect. I started with the darkest green at the bottom, then reduced the opacity and did two more bands of colour. I merged the colours with a transparent inbetween shade.


To finish off the drawing, I did a thick black outline and added more shading with a thick pencil. And Voila! We have Amy Rose!
