How to draw Chibi Sokka

The skeptical, abrasive, and sharp-witted Sokka is a great leader and an amazing warrior ;). Friends and enemies alike fall before the power of his extremely bad jokes!

Here's a long shot of Sokka in chibi form at his cutest.

I've begun this drawing with guidelines as usual in a light grey pencil. Personally I find guidelines very useful to get the proportions of the drawing right. This way I don't find that I've done the legs too long or the eyes too high after I've finished the full drawing.

I've used simple shapes for the guidelines, starting with a large circle for the head. The arms and legs are simple stick lines. At this stage I've even done the hair and body without details, just basic shapes to get the proportions right. If you are doing this on paper you should try to draw the guidelines as lightly as possible.

Next, I've added the details with a thick black pencil. Then erased the guidelines with white pencil.

I've coloured in my drawing with the paintbucket tool using transparent colours.
