How to Draw a Chickadee


This little chickadeee chirps from a tree.

Step 1-

I started sketching the guidelines for this with grey pencil. An oval makes the body, Then put in lines for the wing and tail.

Step 2-

Now put in the details with pure black outlines. Use transparent colours with a paint bucket to fill in the wing, the tail and the body in different shades. Put in the lines for the feathers. The beak is short and sharp and the eye has a white highlight that makes it twinkle.

Step 3-

The branch is filled in brown with the paint bucket tool and the leaves are in shades of green. The veins are put in with a very thin pencil line. Add red berries with a paint bucket tool.

This early bird is all set for a tasty meal!
