How to Draw Princess Yue-

Avatar's 16 year old Princess Yue is Chief Arnook's daughter - ruler of the North Pole's Northern Water Tribe. As a baby, Princess Yue is cured by the moon of a serious illness, turning her hair white and giving her special powers. She and Sokka fall in love, though Yue feels its her duty to marry within her tribe.

Step 1-

I sketched Yue's figure with grey pencil guidelines. her oval face is slightly tilted here. The braids fall long and thick over her fur coat.


Step 2-
I used flat colors - without any gradients to color her- the skin tone is brown and her blue eyes have 3 shades in them.


Step 3-

For the icy winds of the North pole, I used an airbrushed background in cool blues.
