How to draw a cartoon monster

Cartoon monsters come in various sizes and shapes. This is another for you to try. Follow this step by step tutorial carefully, slow the animation so you can catch all the details.

Step 1
I've used a grey pencil to do the guidelines. The head is an oval. The rest of the parts are a nice set of simple curves for the body, hands and legs. This monster is one eyed. Don’t forget the horns.

Step 2
Using a thick black pencil fill in the details for the monster. This monster has its teeth sticking out. Dress up your little monster. With a white pencil, remove the guidelines.

Step 3
Using a pencil tool, I have coloured in the face and clothes. The airbrush also has been used to advantage. You can touch up the sketch with the pencil tool. Let your imagination run wild and you will end up with a riot of colours. Have fun!
