The popular cartoon character - Popeye the Sailor man is easy to draw when you can watch this free online lesson. Complete with pipe, tattoos and a squint, Popeye is all set for action.

Step 1-

Let's start the drawing by sketching the basic shapes in grey with a pencil. Use a circle for the head and a curve for the body. two stick arms and two stick legs to show their position. Draw in two ovals for the hands and and two ovals for the feet.

Step 2 -

Now flesh out the figure drawing in the details of the frown, the eys and mouth and pipe. Sketch in the clenched fists, the cap, sailor collar, belt and shoes.
Popeye the sailor man rolls up his sleeves to get set for some action.

Step 3 -

we're ready to paint in Popeye the cartoon man of action. Erase all extra guidelines with white paint using the pencil tool. Then color in the skin tones with a pale pink, blue jeans, brown shoes and the dark blue sailor shirt.
