How to Draw Jack from the Nightmare before Christmas-

Its not Halloween - Its Jack with his skeletal look and bat wings from the Nightmare before Christmas takes a bow!

Step 1 -

To get the eerie look, I kept the colors contrasting. I began the painting with a clean sketch of the outer circle. I did this with a pencil line, first drawing the curve on one side, then lifting my hand to draw the curve on the other side. I airbrushed in shades of dark blue reaching a black at the edge of the circle.

Step 2-
I then used a thin pencil line to draw Jack's skeletal figure which is actually a stick figure. The large round head I drew again in 2 curves.

Step 3 -

To finish the painting, I filled in the head with white and shaded it with pale browns.

I used black for the costume set off with highlights of grey. The shirt is pure white and the stick fingers have an outline and a shadow.

Lookout! Your night mare's for real now!
