How to Draw Emily the Strange -


Strange Emily with a cat shadowing her is drawn here in simple steps with just 3 colors.


Step 1-


I started this sketch with a complete fill of the background color in a light red. It has no shades.


Step 2 -

Next, I drew in Emily's stick figure with a black pencil stroke. To flesh this in, I used white for the face, arm and shoes and highlights in the hair.


Step 3-

I then used a black pencil for the cat shadow. I put in Emily's face with black - her eyes are tucked up into her bangs that gives it a wierd look.


Step 4 -

Finally, I used White ruled lines for the main text Emily and put in the curves with a pencil. Then I wrote 'The Strange' in a smaller size with black pencil lines.
