How to Draw a Panda-


The Giant Panda is one of the most endangered animals in the world. Found in China, it is a member of the bear family and it eats mainly bamboo shoots.


Step 1 -


I began this black and white bear using simple guideline shapes. A circle for the head, 2 curves for the ears, two ovals for the patches around the eyes, the arms and legs.


Step 2 -


I blocked in the black and grey shades with the paint bucket tool. Next, I airbrushed the greys and added pencil strokes to give it a soft furry look.


Step 3 -


I finished the drawing with a green background, putting in bamboo shoots on either side to show its typical environment.


Besides the dragon, the Giant Panda is also a national emblem of China.
