How to draw Ned Flanders from the Simpsons

Say hi to Ned Flanders, pillar of the Springfield community, the Simpson’s scarily nice neighbor. Check out this step by step tutorial and others on Bart and Homer Simpson and Otto too.

Step 1
I’ve started my drawing with guidelines in a light grey pencil. I’ve simplified the shapes using an oval for the head, more ovals for the arm and hand.

Step 2
I’ve filled in the details with a thin black pencil. He has big round eyes that are typical of the Simpson characters. He also has a cartoon style four fingered hand. Using a white pencil, I’ve erased the guidelines.

Step 3
I’ve coloured him in with the pencil tool and his clothes using the airbrush tool.
