How to draw a boat for kids

Go places and have lots of adventure in this little boat. Follow the simple step by step instructions in this free tutorial.

Step 1
Sketch the guidelines for the boat with grey pencil. Use circles for the portholes and the steering wheel. Don’t forget the house shape on the ship’s deck for the cabin!

Step 2
I darkened the outline with black pencil next.

Step 3
For the colours, I started with a base in light brown with the paint bucket. Over which I added more texture with the pencil tool in a transparent brown. To give the portholes some depth, I’ve given the insides a dark black shadow and a white highlight. I’ve used the pencil to add white highlights on the rest of the boat as well. The sea is airbrushed in shades of blue, with some white near the bottom of the boat. Two birds done with a black pencil add the finishing touch to this picture.
