I always start witha sketch. too bad you cant see what I'm using as a guide. But anyways, I started with the background using solid shapes, then added black as a base for the character. I then worked colored shapes to created fleshtones and shading. Then I added the rest of his outfit(I like nuetrals if you couldn't tell). I then clean up my lines with the pencil tool zoomed in. And finished off with some highlights to his hair and airbrushed some on the clouds.
