How to Draw an Egyptian Sphinx -

This painting is of a Sphinx pyramid. A Sphinx is a mythical lion with a human head.The Sphinx is a temple guardian. The largest and most famous sphinx is the Great Sphinx of Giza on the banks of the river Nile.

Step 1 - I sketched in with grey pencil, guidelines of the triangular pyramid. In front of this rests the massive statue of the sphinx. I drew a large circle for the head, horizontal lines for the eyes, nose and mouth.

Step 2 -
Next I outlined the drawig with black pencil and erased all extra lines with white pencil strokes.

Step 3 -
Finally I colored the painting with the airbrush. I used shades of brown- the paler shades for the face and feet. The darker shadows I filled in for the pyramid and foundation of the sphinx.
