Watch this tutorial and learn how to draw Arlo from the upcoming movie The Good Dinosaur, the simple step by step drawing lesson will show you how to draw his head and a background behing.

Step 1 - Start your drawing with a circle and an elongated shape attached to it (notice the shape is tilted to the left).

Step 2 - Add two lines for Arlo's neck and a small circle for the nostril.

Step 3 - Draw two circles for his eyes, notice that one is bigger than the other and they are on the left side of his face, draw two eyebrows above.

Step 4 - Draw two circles inside each eye for his pupils and add a curved line between his eyes.

Step 5 - Add a big smile, start the line under his nostril and finish the line next to his eye, add a small curved line above it.

Step 6 - For the bug on his snout, draw a small circle and a big one above it.

Step 7 - Add three legs on the right side and one on the left, draw a curved line on the bug's body.

Step 8 - We are going to draw a simple background, add a few diagonal lines behind Arlo.

Step 9 - Trace your drawing with a black marker, notice that I added a few lines above and under the eyes and next to his nostril.
