Sasori grew under the care of his grandmother, Chiyo, because his parents died when he was still little. Chiyo taught him the art of puppetry in order to cheer him up and so Sasori turned out to be a master puppeteer; making and controlling puppets which became sort of his troop in war and turning himself into a human puppet with only his heart remaining as the living part of his body. The puppets became his expression of art but on the downside, the art somehow made him void of emotion. He was aptly called Sasori of the Red Sand because during the Third Shinobi World War, the puppets killed many and spilt enemies’ blood on the sand. You can first look through this guide on How to Draw Sasori, sketch him and then maybe learn how to make puppets not for war but for entertainment later on. Along with studying How to Draw Sasori you can also develop your own mark of ownership. Sasori literally means ‘scorpion’ and so he did put that scorpion mark in all his crafted puppets.
