Hellooo all. I’m back with another free online tutorial. This is 1 more from my school obsession with drawing hearts : ) Today’s tutorial is on how to draw a broken heart. A broken heart is such an emotional thing isn’t it? It conjures up all sorts of emotions in the mind – unrequited love, pain, depression, sadness. Definitely sadness, unlike other pictures of hearts which still convey the idea of love or freedom, like the heart with wings, a broken heart is always sad. So why this fascination with pictures of a broken heart? ‘Coz they are really cool too : )… drawing the picture of a broken heart that is, not actually having a broken heart. Here are 2 of my favourite broken heart quotes - "If someone you love hurts you cry a river, build a bridge, and get over it." – Anonymous, "What is the opposite of two? A lonely me, a lonely you." - Richard Wilbur. With that lets get down to drawing, follow the steps carefully and you can learn how to draw a broken heart
Step 1
First sketch 1 side of the heart and give it a jagged edge before you draw the next side. Draw the other side with a matching jagged edge.
Step 2
Colour your broken heart picture with the paint bucket tool. Outline with black pencil and use the airbrush tool to fill in the shadows and highlights.
