Today we have How to Draw Fire . Rremember the good old pine wood bonfire, especially on guy fawkes night? The flames licking and the few odd pops that use to scare the living daylights out of me. In a random moment the other day I looked up those popping sounds. You will be interested to know that solids and liquids do not burn, but they turn vapour. The excess vapour causes the nice sound and the occasional pops when they try to escape. Cool wot?
Step 1
Sketch the guidelines for the flames and the wood with the pencil tool.
Step 2
Colour the flames with the airbrush tool. Start with the lightest colour, yellow and layer darker shades of orange and red over it so that they merge. The wood is coloured with the pencil tool.
Step 3
The bg is also done with the airbrush tool. Start with the light colour and layer the darer tone over it. Use a mid tone to merge the two shades.
